Right to Refuse
I reserve the right to decline any commission request at my discretion.
Content Restrictions
I do not accept commissions that include:
NSFW, pornographic, or sexually explicit content
Inappropriate or offensive subject matter
Any request containing or implying inappropriate content will be declined immediately.
Digital Art Disclaimer
All artwork will be completed as .jpeg or .png files.
Vector illustrations are not currently available. If this changes, this policy will be updated.
Artwork is delivered digitally only; no physical items will be shipped.
Original Artwork Rights & Usage
All commissioned artwork is created for the client’s personal use. Clients are free to display, share, and enjoy their commissioned artwork for non-commercial purposes.
The artist retains the right to use commissioned artwork for self-promotional purposes only (such as displaying it in a portfolio, on social media, or on a website).
The artwork will not be resold, reproduced for profit, or used commercially by the artist.
Clients who wish to request exclusive rights (meaning the artwork will not be displayed publicly by the artist) may do so for an additional fee.
Fanart Disclaimer
Fanart commissions are for personal, non-commercial enjoyment only.
Buttercup Illustrations makes no claim of ownership over copyrighted characters, worlds, or related materials.
All rights remain with their original creators, authors, and copyright holders.
These works are purely fan-based expressions and are not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by the rights holders.
No copyright or trademark infringement is intended.
Payment Policy
Payment is required upfront before work begins.
All commission payments are non-refundable. Please review my portfolio before commissioning to ensure my style matches your vision.
If you’d like to use PayPal’s Pay in 4 option, note that a minimum order of $30 is required.
Reservation Policy
Clients may reserve a commission slot for upcoming holidays.
Reservation fees are non-refundable.
If your initial request is declined after reserving, you may submit a new request to use your reserved spot.
Timeline for Completion
Artwork completion times depend on commission price/complexity:
$200+ → 3–5 days (less than 1 week)
$100–199 → up to 7 days (1 week)
$70–99 → 7–14 days (1–2 weeks)
$30–69 → exactly 14 days (2 weeks)
$10–29 → exactly 21 days (3 weeks)
$5–28 → 21–28 days (3–4 weeks)
Rush requests: Artwork cannot be completed in fewer than 3 days.
Note: These timelines are estimates. Complex projects or unforeseen delays may extend completion times slightly, but I will always communicate updates as needed.
Communication
Please allow 1–2 business days (excluding Sundays) for responses.
I strive to maintain professional, kind communication, and I ask the same courtesy in return.
